Mullein now in flower, Capitol Hill, Seattle Washington

Mullein has been used in traditional Turkish medicine to heal wounds and data show a remarkable wound healing activity.  Mullen leaves used as a tea are good for coughs, hoarseness, bronchitis, asthma, croup and other respiratory conditions.  Mullen flowers used as a tea can help with colic and constipation, and can be very soothing the stomach and intestines.  Peer reviewed studies supporting the efficacy of this plant as medicine can be found here.
